Using TORTURE as a means of investigation is not only criminal, unlawful, evil, wicked but unprofessional.
Reliance on torture is why the citizens, elected and career public servants have refused to equip the police with standard infrastructures and logistics in carrying out meaningful, standard and lawful investigations. Use of torture or excessive force can never be part of delivering honest justice and truth. Anybody will say anything under torture just to ease or stop the pain and brutality. You lost your dignity the moment you entered a Nigerian Police Station, disgusting!

Torture has killed many people including innocent suspects, a lot are maimed and has rendered the country toxic, backward and violent. Police brutalities and civilian brutalities everywhere. Shun such criminality now.
I have encouraged my colleagues in the entertainment industry to stop portraying needless tortures or abuses especially by Police or soldiers in movies except it the act will be punished or corrected at some point in flick.

The effect of the torture, brutality, trial by ordeal, dehumanization, unjust trial and injustice never left Babatunde Omidina a.k.a Baba Suwe till he died. Every voice that tried to get him justice get quelled or castigated by some elements unfit for civilised society, sadly some of them in our industry. A fellow citizen has sent another citizen to our soil with pain and stain of torture. Then the country can now rejoice. What a shame.

Let us do all we can to pay more value to human lives and respect human rights above everything for peace, growth, justice and secured society for both indigenes and visitors to Nigeria.

I share in your pain icon, RIP Baba Suwe.
