Five driving habits.
How to earn Vitality points for driving well.
Every day you drive can earn you Vitality points, which you can see on the Vitality Member app. To get full points every time, there are five driving habits you need to keep an eye on.
Number one – Acceleration
For a top score, accelerate smoothly when you pull away. To get an idea of what that means, try putting your bag on the passenger seat. If it sides backwards, you probably need to pull away a little more slowly.
Number two – Braking.
A sure sign that you’re braking too hard is if your bag slides forwards on the passenger seat. So, just apply the brakes gently and in plenty of time. Always leave enough space between you and the vehicle in front. And if the driver behind you is too close, pull over and let them pass.
Number three – Cornering
Take corners smoothly. That means going round a corner shouldn’t cause you to move around too much in your seat.
Number four – Distractions
Basically, this means not using your phone while driving. Make sure to put it out of sight, or on ‘Do not disturb’. And never touch your phone or phone screen while driving.
Last, but not least, number five – Speed
Stay within the local speed limit. Keep an eye on your speedometer, and always give yourself enough time to get to where you’re going. Better safe than sorry.
