On today’s podcast I had John Sullivan who is a realtor here in Las Vegas who is absolutely killing it! He did over 100 transactions by himself, which is enormous! You see a lot of teams do over 100 transactions, but for one man to do it by himself is crazy good! We talked how he did it, how he prospects. I’ll give you a hint – he does over 5 hours of cold calling per day! Even at this level of success, he’s still doing it. A lot of that came from his background as a pro-footballer, aka soccer. We talk about all of the skills he learned as an athlete, how he used that discipline and drive to take into real estate. He also came from England and has been doing this for the last six years. To have that amount of success in in a new country, in a new career, that quickly is absolutely insane. John is a realtor here in Las Vegas and runs a traditional real estate business. Between him and one other agent, they have closed 160 transactions this year, 115 of which were his!
John talks about how Las Vegas has a very transient population, so that helps his business going!

He went full time in professional soccer at only 16 years old! He got his first pro contract at 18 and played with 10 different clubs until he was 26 years old. He came to Las Vegas with his team. They went out one night and his cocktail server later became his wife!

John explains how he thinks there’s more opportunity to make money in the USA compared to where he comes from in England. In England, people get paid once per month and are taxed about 45%! He bought his first property when he was 20 years old in England. John’s been interested in real estate for a long time at wanted to get one the property ladder young!

John talks about how his two mentors were vital to his career and growth. John says it wasn’t difficult to get started, it just took time and effort. It wasn’t difficult for John to adapt to that because of his discipline he got from playing professional sports.

We discuss how ego can play a role in business. John likes to self evaluate and self critique himself so he can continue to grow as a person and in his business. John has had great success in real estate his whole career! In his first year in real estate, he made over $200,000!
