The SAP „Intelligent Enterprise“ vision ought to be staged at the Hanover Messer 2019 through an interactive storytelling concept focussing on the „Digital Supply Chain“.
The goal was to make the networked competences of SAP tangible in their entirety, using a single product – a double-seat valve. Five different perspectives of the valve were to be visualised to tell its end-to-end story along the Design to Operate (D2O) value chain.
The SAP solutions from design, planning and production, to delivery and operation should fascinate both existing and new customers.
The D2O story is told through the constant interplay of the real exhibit and virtual content: 5 transparent screens are arranged around the “Product Hero”, enabling the viewer to see both dimensions simultaneously.
The interaction takes place intuitively via eye-tracking . By recording the position of the viewer’s head, the animation on the screen is always displayed from their perspective, creating a real 3D effect.
The augmented ‚digital twin‘ allows physical and virtual reality to merge and creates an absolute WOW effect – AR without a device!
